Hello, and welcome to our website! My name is Scott Maricle and I am the owner of Tales and Trails Sport Shop. I founded Tales and Trails in 2000, on the premise of providing quality products and expertise to the outdoor sports-minded Minnesota community.
We are located in Zimmerman, Minnesota 20 miles north of Minneapolis, on Highway 169… know as "the gateway to the “North country". Tales and Trails Inc. is proud to provide a full assortment of hunting, fishing, firearm, and archery products. Beyond our product offerings however is our commitment to service. As avid outdoorsman (and women) our staff “Talks the Talk” and “Walks the Walk” in ensuring your outdoor experience is perfect in every detail. We now offer a full service gun shop as well, we offer a vide variety and styles to choose from along with years of experience.

We offer a full service 20 yard archery range with 11 indoor lanes. Our skilled professional shooting staff is on hand to provide shooting tips, techniques or formal lessons by the hour. Scott Maricle is a level 3 USA olympic coach for archery and schedules lessons by an on call schedule to meet your needs. In addition, some of the top shooters in this state call Tales and Trails their "home" range.

This is my passion. I've been hunting and shooting archery for over 25 years and still have the fire burning inside for the sport! My goal in opening our archery shop and range was to help anyone interested in our sport to become the most capable archer they can be.We strive to introduce our sport to the young, old and everyone in between! I have also aquired a level 3 USA olympic coach status to better serve those willing to learn this wonderful sport.We offer a full service, perfectly lit 20 yard archery range with 11 indoor lanes.
Besides our large selection of high quality archery products we also offer a wide variety of rifle, shotgun and pistol ammunition. And now a full service gun shop located within our building. Along with all that we offer all the cleaning supplies one could use. We also compliment our inventory with quality muzzleloading supplies and equipment. If we don't have it we can get, special orders are available. We are your full service hunting and fishing store ..from licences to bait to hunting supplies we make it a one stop shop.
